Entry
- The showgirl competition is open to those who are permanent residents of Australia.
- No fundraising is required.
- Entrants must be women aged from 18 years to 25 years as at 1 May in the year of the state final (2011 for this year).
- Entrants must reside, be educated, or work within NSW for at least three months prior to the local showgirl competition to qualify to compete within the state.
- Qualities desired are poise, personality, speech, grooming, manners, presentation, general knowledge (local, general & international) and an interest in representing the show movement and the local area.
- Entrants may have children and/or be married. (Except for Junior Showgirl)
- The Narrabri winner is eligible to compete at the Zone 4 judging in March 2011 which decides 2 finalists for the Royal Easter Show 2011. (Except for Junior)
- The contest is run with sponsors such as "The Land", The Royal Agricultural Society, Agricultural Societies Council of NSW and Courtyard Marriott Hotel North Ryde.
- Judging is by interview with a panel of three judges on a day selected prior to the 2010 show.
- Winner and runner up will be announced at the Show on Saturday 24th April 2010 in conjunction with the show opening.
- Winner and runner up will attend a deportment weekend in Dubbo at the end of the 2010 as part of their prizes. (Except for Juniors)
- Great prizes can be won at local level from Camstart Pharmacy, The Narrabri Pharmacy and Buds & Blooms.
- State level prizes include trip overseas, jewellery and cash prizes and lots of traveling the state to shows, etc. for the state winner.

- All participants able to receive 4 weeks tuition with Toastmasters prior to interviews.
