Exhibitors are requested to notify stewards of their intention to enter sheep in the show by 9:00am Saturday 24th April 2010.

The stewards may deny entries from exhibitors who fail to notify a steward of their intention to exhibit before 9:00am Saturday 24th April 2010.

Stud Sheep Show

Registered stud breeders are invited to exhibit sheep for exhibition only.

  • All sheep should be penned by 10:00am on Saturday 24th April 2010.
  • Sheep being exhibited in the "Stud Sheep Show" must be Accredited Brucellosis free and a current accreditation certificate must be viewed by stewards prior to sheep being unloaded.
  • Sheep must be from studs registered with their respective national breed society.
  • Sheep should be pure bred and conform to the stud book breed standards of their respective breed society.
  • Sheep should be milk tooth or 2 tooth only.
  • Sheep should be prepared according to respective breed society show standards in relation to wool length, hoof preparation, horn and teeth trimming.
  • Sheep from "shedding" and high risk medullated fibre breed will be segregated from low risk breeds.
  • Breeders may display both ewes and rams.

Prime Lamb Show

  • All lambs are to be penned by 9:00am on Sunday 25th April 2010.
  • All entries must exhibit milk teeth only.
  • All entries must be visibly free of lice and be disease and footrot free.
  • Subject to the number of entries, exhibitors may be limited to 1 entry of 3 lambs per class.
  • All entries will be weighed on arrival at the pavilion.
  • Entries may be any breed or combination of breeds.

Prize money of $200 for the champion pen of lambs in each class with ribbons awarded to minor place getters.

Class 1. Pen of 3 lambs weighing less than 40kg live weight.

Class 2. Pen of 3 lambs weighing more than 40kg and less than 48kg live weight.

Class 3. Pen of 3 lambs weighing over 48kg live weight.
